🎯 ONE POINT FOR THIS PART
Do not fear silence. Wait 3–5 seconds.

Reminders /
- Count to five in your head before you help. It is longer than it feels
- Never punish forgetting. Use
Almost! Very close! generously.
Memory Time is the corner where mistakes are expected
- Teach them to fill the silence in English.
Let me see. Well…
A student who can fill silence in English never falls back into Japanese
- Reactions matter. If no one says
Really? or Me, too., the conversation dies after one turn.
Model reactions yourself, loudly
- This is the part where grammar itself gets taught in English. Don't explain the -s in Japanese —
show two sentences and let them notice it
"Did I wait long enough?"
