TOE V2 — UNIT 5 PART 2 — ASK RIKO Same lesson, same buttons, same order. New English.
TALK → SONG → SCENE → RETRIEVAL → WRITE → TRANSFER → COMMUNICATION → EXIT.
Today you introduce Does he / she …? and the short answer:
Does Fumiya live near a beach? — Yes, he does. / Does he go to the beach every day? — No, he doesn't.Part 1 と同じやり方で、英語だけが変わります。ブロックもボタンも操作も同じです。 今日はじめて出すのが Does he / she …? と短い答え(Yes, he does. / No, he doesn't.)です。
SCENE は11枚(Part 2 の新しい場面)、TRANSFER はPart 1 と同じ6人をそのまま使います。
SCENE の英文と TRANSFER の情報は、ボタンを押したときだけ出ます。
Part 1 の画面は run-u5p1.html と run-u5p1b.html にそのまま残してあります
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENTcalm but firm▾
When the behaviour is wrong, deal with it. Do not let it pass, and do not get loud.
The standard is the same for every teacher, Japanese or foreign.
授業態度が悪いときは、あいまいにしない。見逃さない。そして声を荒らげない。
日本人の先生でも外国人の先生でも、同じ対応にします
HOW — 止め方
Stop it there and then. Say the child’s name once, then wait. Do not talk over the room.
その場で止める。名前を1回呼んで、待つ。声を張って上からかぶせない
Say what you want, not what is wrong.Pencils down.Look at me.English only, please.
Say it once — do not negotiate and do not explain it twice — then start again from where you stopped.
「悪いこと」ではなく「してほしいこと」を言う。1回言って、
交渉しない・2回説明しない。止めたところから再開する
If it happens again, stop the activity. Do not teach around it.
繰り返されたら、活動を一旦止める。やりすごして進めない
Ask the School Manager on the 4th floor for support.
Walk the child up and say what happened. The manager takes the follow-up from there,
including contacting the parents. You do not handle it alone.4階のスクールマネージャーに対応を依頼する。
その子を連れて行き、何があったかを伝える。その先(保護者への連絡を含む)は
マネージャーが引き取る。先生ひとりで抱えない
Record it in the feedback at the bottom of this page — the name and what you did about it.
このページの下のフィードバックに記録する(名前と、何をしたか)

GUIDE
Before you start — read this every time▾
Why we teach it this way.
The children learn to speak by taking correct English in through their ears and saying it straight back —
not by understanding rules. That is why you fix the sound and never explain the grammar.
A child who can say it in one second has it. A child who can explain it does not.
なぜこのやり方なのか。子どもは、正しい英文を音で入れて、そのまま言い返すことで
話せるようになります。ルールを理解して話せるようになるのではありません。
だから音を直し、文法は説明しないのです。1秒で言える子はできている。説明できる子は、まだできていません
The lesson is in English. You stay in English.
授業は英語です。先生も英語のままでいます
This lesson is English only. Do not use Japanese in the room —
not even when a child looks lost, and not to be kind.
TOE is where the English goes in through the ears and comes straight back out — switching to Japanese takes that away.
No school abroad would switch to Japanese for our children.
We build that same room here, on purpose.
この授業は英語だけです。授業中に日本語を使いません —
子どもが困っていても、親切心でもです。
TOEは、正しい英語を音で入れて、そのまま言い返す時間です。日本語に切り替えると、それが失われます。
海外の学校が、うちの子のために日本語に切り替えてくれることはありません。
同じ状況を、この教室に意図してつくります
Not understanding is not a failure. It is the lesson.
A child who is lost has a sentence for it —
I don't understand.One more time, please.Slowly, please.Give them the chance to use it.分からないのは失敗ではなく、それが授業です。
困った子には、そのための文があります。使う機会をあげてください
When they do not understand, do not translate — do these instead:
say it again more slowly · use fewer words · show it · point at it · act it out.
分からないとき、訳さない。
ゆっくり言い直す・語を減らす・見せる・指さす・やってみせる
If a child speaks to you in Japanese, answer in English.
Point at the sentence they should have used.
子どもが日本語で話しかけてきても、英語で返します。
使うべき文を指さしてあげる
Remember who is sitting in front of you
目の前にいる子が、どんな状態で来ているか
These children are already tired when they walk in.
They have done a full day at school, and this is an evening lesson.
Their energy is low before you have said a word.
They are not lazy. They are not being difficult. This is simply the condition they arrive in,
and the lesson has to be built for it.
子どもたちは、来た時点ですでに疲れています。学校で丸一日すごしたあとの、夕方の授業です。
先生が一言も発する前から、体力は落ちています。
やる気がないのでも、反抗しているのでもありません。そういう状態で来るのが前提で、
授業のほうをそれに合わせて作ります
Keep it moving. A child who has been listening quietly for a long time
has usually stopped listening already.
止めない。長いあいだ静かに聞いている子は、たいていもう聞いていません
Speaking wakes them up. Listening puts them to sleep.
Short bursts, everyone's voice out.
話すと目が覚め、聞くと眠くなります。短く区切って、全員の声を出させる
If the class goes flat, make it faster and shorter — not louder.
Do not push a tired child harder; change the pace instead.
だれてきたら、速く・短くする。声を大きくしない。
疲れている子をさらに押さない。変えるのはテンポです
Judge the lesson, not the child. If they cannot keep up at the end of a long day,
that is information about the lesson.
子どもではなく、授業を評価する。一日の終わりについてこられないなら、
それは授業の側の情報です
The room, before the lesson starts授業を始める前に、教室を整える
These are school rules, not personal style.
They are the same in every class, for every teacher — Japanese or foreign.
A child must never learn that the rule depends on who is teaching.これは教室の決まりで、先生の好みではありません。どの先生でも同じです
(日本人の先生でも、外国人の先生でも)。先生によってゆるくなる、ということがあってはいけません
On the desk: the textbook and the pencil case — pencil and eraser out and ready
before the lesson starts. Nothing else on the desk.
机の上は、テキストと筆箱(鉛筆・消しゴム)だけ。授業が始まる前に出させる。
「授業の準備をしてから座る」と伝える
You hold all the iPads for the whole lesson. Do not hand them out at the start. If a child is already holding one, take it in before you begin.Hand out iPads only when needed — that is COMMUNICATION(39–47 min), and only to the
children who have to look a word up. Ask “What are you searching for?” every time.
Collect the iPads after the activity(by 47 min). One iPad for every two children. A group of three gets two iPads, not one. This rule is about the iPads, not about the size of the group.iPadは授業中ずっと先生が持つ。最初に配らない。
すでに持っている子からは、始める前に預かる。
配るのは必要なときだけ=COMMUNICATION(39〜47分)で、単語を調べたい子だけ。
そのたびに What are you searching for? と確認する。
活動が終わったら回収する(47分まで)。
2人で1台。1台を3人で共有させない(3人組には2台渡す)。
これはiPadの台数の決まりで、組の人数の決まりではありません ※2026-10-06 の実地運用で変更。「あいさつのときに配る」は、このルールに置き換わりました
Water bottles go in the locker — never on the desk. No drinking during the lesson.
They drink before the lesson or after it.
水筒は机の上に置かない。ロッカーに戻させる。レッスン中に水を飲むのはなし(前か後に飲む)
Toilet before the lesson. During the lesson, going to the toilet is not allowed.
If a child truly cannot wait, let them go — and write it in the feedback at the bottom of this page.
If the same child goes again and again, tell the manager — the manager contacts the parents.
Do not deal with it alone, and do not let it continue.
トイレは授業の前に済ませる。授業中のトイレは原則なし。
どうしても我慢できない子は行かせてよいが、下のフィードバック欄に書く。
同じ子が何度も続く場合はマネージャーに伝え、マネージャーから保護者へ連絡してもらう。
先生ひとりで抱えない。そのままにもしない
How you make the pairs — never at random
ペアの作り方。無作為に組ませない
Two to a pair. If the number does not divide, make one group of three.A group of three is fine — but it still never shares one iPad. Give that group two.
Then choose who goes with whom, in this order.
2人組が基本。割り切れないときは1組だけ3人にする。
3人組にしてよい。ただしiPadは3人で共有させない。その組には2台渡す。
そのうえで、だれとだれを組ませるかを次の順番で決めます
1 Boy with girl.1 異性で組ませる
2 Different school years. A younger child with an older one.
It produces competition and imitation, in a good way.
Watch that the older child does not talk down to the younger one.2 異学年で組ませる。高学年と低学年を組むと、良い意味で競争と模倣が生まれます。
高学年が低学年に威圧的になっていないか、先生が見ます
3 Mix the levels. Not two strong children together and two weak children together.
3 学習レベルを混ぜる。できる子同士・苦手な子同士で固めない
4 Never leave best friends together.
Same year + same sex + best friends = they will talk about something else.4 仲良し同士を固定しない。同学年・同性・仲良しの組み合わせは、
授業外の会話になります
Nobody waits. Everyone is speaking together, or working in a pair.
待っている子をつくらない。全員が声をそろえて話しているか、ペアで取り組んでいる状態にする
Do not talk for more than 5 minutes at a time. A tired child cannot listen longer than that.
The rest of the time belongs to them.
先生が続けて話すのは5分までを目安に。疲れている子はそれ以上は聞けません。
残りの時間は子どものものです
Do not explain grammar. Fixing the pronunciation is your job.文法の説明はしない。発音を直すのが先生の仕事
You lead. You set the speed. Make it faster as soon as they can do it.
先生がリードし、速さを決める。できるようになったら、すぐ速くする
Set the teacher name to YOUR name in the app(the「先生」box at the top).
Week 1's sentences 2 and 10 use it, and the greeting uses Week 1's sentences —
if you leave it, the children will greet someone else's name.
アプリ上部の「先生」を自分の名前にする。先週の2番と10番の文に入ります。
あいさつで先週の文を使うので、そのままだと別の先生の名前であいさつしてしまいます
You teach alone. There is no Japanese teacher in the room, and you never need to read Japanese. All the Japanese the children need is printed on their screen.
読み終わったらここを押す。この確認はたたまれ、授業中は画面を占有しません
