SAY THIS AT THE START OF EVERY LESSON

We make it together!
In CLIL, speak English to me and to your friends too. Give it a try!

PROJECTWhich English? / projection page THIS WEEK
4 situations, one English each / last slide = the Good Communication reminder (30–60 sec)
Nothing is revealed until you tap it. The children choose first.
OLD · V1Good Communication / old projection page
Which is better? / Which keeps the conversation going? / Now you decide / What did we discover?
⚠️ Pictures were replaced with the six new HELP & DAILY TALK pictures. Text and images no longer match because they share Situation data.
OLD · V1Week 1 — the old sheet (historical)
The message / the 10 sentences / "how" and "what" / pair check — ⭕✕ on all 10
Replaced by the HELP & DAILY TALK Lesson Runner above.
OLD · V1How or What? / old projection page
Every English word has its Japanese meaning printed under it. If you want to explain, just point at it.
The historical page has small Japanese glosses below the English; point to a gloss when explaining.
Week 2October 8–14 NEXT · ready
"I don't understand." / the three "how" pairs / ⭕✕ recording / pair work with roles
PROJECT“How”, not “What” / projection page
The trap of the week. The first-language cue suggests “what”, so they build it with What. It is How.
Learners may translate the cue as What; the correct question starts with How. The historical page includes Japanese glosses.
PROJECTOur Rules in English / projection page
Slide 4 does not show the English until you tap it. They have to make it first — that is the whole point of the activity.
Slide 4 keeps the model hidden until tapped, so learners try their own sentence first.
PROJECTRun It All in English / projection page
0–43 is English only. Japanese is allowed in one place — the look-back at 43–48.
Minutes 0–43 use English. The historical plan allows Japanese only in the 43–48-minute reflection on slide 5.
One week, one lesson. Every class and every teacher does the same content in the same week. Students who come 2 or 3 times a week do the same lesson again — that is fine, repetition is the point. All teachers and classes repeat the same content for the week, including children attending two or three times.
After the lesson, tell Mr. Toshi three things: ① which sentence had the most ✕ ② did the "how" pairs get faster ③ did every child do both roles. After class, report the most-missed sentence, progress on the three how pairs, and whether every child tried both roles to Mr. Toshi.
