Unit 5 Part 2
Repeat Part 2 throughout Week 2. Read the situation first, then use the exact question or answer. Keep the eleven scene boundaries: Yes stays with its question, and “Yes, he does.” stays with the explanation about the beaches.
Question pictures show the classroom conversation before the answer. Let the class ask before moving to the answer scene. Hide English for Listen & remember and BECOME RIKO; reveal only after speaking.

Unit 5 Part 3
Riko shares Fumiya’s blog with the class. Read and Think, printed page 66. Use the same ten short chunks as TOE Week 3. Read the scene first, listen and imitate, then speak from the picture alone.
Use the Week 3 phrases with a partner: “Are you ready?”, “Let’s start!”, “It’s your turn.” and encouragement.
